After reading steven heller’s Topic about Designers and the criteria of a good design, I believe in what Milton Gleaser said “ Good Design Is Good Citizenship “. For me Design is all about Culture, values and ethics, it has big impact on the design and how it reflects on the Citizens. As I red the points under the topic I found most of the point would make me stop working and each point has its reasons to make me stop. Point 9 “ Designing a promotion for a diet product that you know doesn’t work” this specific point made me stop and think about an experience I had with diet pills 2 years ago. I went to a well-known place and the owner kept talking to me about this pills and how it helped a lot of people and he convinced me to try it and he said I will lose 20 kilos in a month! And he showed me an ad in a famous magazine and TV ad also promoting these pills. Unfortunately, after taking this pills for 2 weeks I had a lot of problems with my kidneys and of course I didn’t lose weight as he said.
Having a bad experience with diet pills what made me choose this point and I was really pissed off and I wished I could do something about it but I couldn’t.
